We loved this BBC report that shows despite high standards, more accountability and increased testing, kids are still kids. According to a Times Educational Survey of 2500 primary school students here are a few things students say they should do before turning eleven:
Learn how to get along with everyone.
Read a book in the grass on a sunny day.
Learn to skip.
Get to spin on the teacher’s chair.
Laugh so much that drink comes out through your nose.
Play “Heads Down Thumbs Up.”
Create an exploding volcano.
Graze your knee of the playground.
Be kind to someone who needs a friend.
Eat your lunch in the rain on a school trip.
Fail so you can improve on your mistakes.
Children are wise and we are delighted to see they still love to play.
We hope you are playing often this summer,
